Detection of Surface Defects
A crack in an underwater metal surface is detected and measured.
The surface defect detection systems deployed by Newton Labs have been used to correctly identify gaps, blemishes, holes and inconsistencies in products such as food-safe canning and hermetically sealed containers. Newton has developed real-time algorithms which can detect, isolate, and categorize flaws rapidly, as well as the complex illumination and camera systems required to perform such inspections.
